Job summary

St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center is seeking a Weekend Special RN for the PCCU. The role focuses on high‑quality, compassionate care on weekend nights in a progressive care unit.

You will assess needs, develop individualized care plans, and coordinate interdisciplinary care with a supportive team. The position requires an active Oklahoma RN license, ADN degree (BSN preferred), BLS certification, and completion of ALS within six months.

Qualifications

• Current Oklahoma RN license is required.
• ADN degree is required; BSN preferred.
• BLS certification is required.
• ALS within 6 months of PCCU employment (new grads: 6 months).
• PALS preferred and CCRN preferred.
• Performance evaluation meets standards; attendance guideline.
• Commit to 36 hours per week with weekend schedule (Sat/Sun plus one of Fri or Mon).
• Commit to 24 weekends over six months; rotate holidays.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient needs and develop care plans on PCCU.
• Implement nursing interventions and evaluate outcomes.
• Coordinate interdisciplinary care for patient recovery.
• Involve patients and families in planning and discharge.
• Support emotional, psychosocial, and spiritual needs of patients and families.
