Job summary

Preferred Care at Home of Virginia Beach is seeking weekend caregivers for Personal Care Assistant (PCA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) roles in Hampton Roads, Virginia. Positions include part-time and full-time opportunities with pay of $15–$17 per hour, based on experience and certification.

We value caregivers who are dependable, compassionate, and dedicated to helping seniors remain safe and independent at home.

Qualifications

• 1 year or more caregiving experience.
• Current CNA certification or PCA credentials.
• Available to work Saturdays, Sundays, or both.
• Valid driver’s license and active car insurance.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility.
• Provide companionship and emotional support.
• Assist with meal preparation and light housekeeping.
• Provide medication reminders according to the client’s care plan and agency policies.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable home environment.
• Promote client dignity, independence, and overall well-being.
• Follow individualized care plans and communicate changes in a client’s condition to the appropriate supervisor.
