Job summary

Preferred Care at Home of Virginia Beach is actively seeking experienced caregivers to join our team serving Hampton, Newport News, Yorktown, and nearby Peninsula communities. We have immediate client assignments and offer both full-time and part-time roles based on need and your availability.

As a Personal Care Assistant, you will support clients with ADLs, provide companionship, help with light housekeeping and meals, and follow care plans.

Qualifications

• 1 year or more caregiving experience.
• PCA/CNA/HHA credentials appropriate to the position.
• Valid driver’s license and active car insurance.
• Reliable transportation.
• Residents of Hampton, Newport News, Yorktown or nearby Peninsula communities are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility.
• Provide companionship and emotional support.
• Assist with light housekeeping and meal preparation.
• Provide medication reminders according to care plan and agency policies.
