Job summary

Preferred Care at Home of Virginia Beach is seeking experienced caregivers for immediate client assignments on the Virginia Peninsula (Hampton, Newport News, Yorktown). Full-time and part-time opportunities available based on need and availability.

Caregivers provide ADL assistance, companionship, light housekeeping, meal prep, and medication reminders. Valid license and reliable transportation required. Training is not provided; caregiving experience is essential.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of caregiving experience required.
• Valid PCA/CNA/HHA credentials are preferred.
• Compassionate, dependable, patient and professional attitude.
• Valid driver's license and active auto insurance required.
• Reliable transportation to client sites is needed.
• Strong communication and adherence to care plans expected.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs).

Position Overview

We are actively hiring experienced caregivers who live on the Virginia Peninsula, including Hampton, Newport News, and Yorktown, for immediate client assignments.

What You'll Do

• Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility.

• Provide companionship and emotional support.

• Assist with light housekeeping and meal preparation.

• Provide medication reminders according to the client's care plan and agency policies.

• Help maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable home environment.

• Promote client dignity, independence, and overall well-being.

What We're Looking For

• At least 1 year of caregiving experience.

• PCA, CNA, or HHA credentials appropriate to the position.
