Job summary

Sharp HealthCare is seeking a Patient Transporter to mobilize patients using lift equipment or mobilization aids and to provide safe, efficient transports throughout the facility, under the supervision of licensed nurses. Daily duties include transporting equipment, supplies, specimens, and patients; maintaining patient identifiers; logging transports; and communicating with team members to ensure safety and smooth workflow.

Requires H.S.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or Equivalent.
• AHA BLS Healthcare Professional certification required.

Responsibilities

• Communicate effectively in a demanding environment.
• Demonstrate positive interpersonal skills with patients, visitors, physicians, coworkers, and hospital staff.
• Communicate relevant patient information to appropriate staff.
• Identify barriers to transporting and communicate plan of care to the team.
• Maintain transport tracking log and ensure patient identifiers are used correctly.
