Job summary

Sharp HealthCare is seeking a Patient Transport professional to mobilize patients and assist with safe transports throughout the facility. You will handle equipment, maintain patient safety, and coordinate with nursing staff to ensure smooth patient flow.

The role requires a HS diploma and AHA BLS certification, with preferred hospital experience. Union environment and structured shift schedule apply.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or Equivalent.
• AHA Basic Life Support for Healthcare Professional (AHA BLS Healthcare) - Required.
• 1 Year Hospital experience or similar experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Communicate effectively with patients, visitors, physicians, coworkers, and hospital staff.
• Ensure safety by following mobility requirements and maintaining equipment.
• Assist with patient mobilization using appropriate lift and equipment under RN supervision.
• Transport patients and items using the transport tracking system; verify patient identity with two identifiers.
