Job summary

The Michaels Companies, Inc. seeks an energetic team member to coordinate events in-store, including kids’ parties and crafts, while delivering friendly customer service. You’ll help customers shop, teach activities, and ensure smooth checkouts, stock and floor cleanliness to uphold brand promises.

Applicants should have retail or customer service experience, strong communication skills, and experience with children’s events. Nights, weekends, and early mornings may be required.

Qualifications

• Retail and/or customer service experience required.
• Experience working with children and children’s events.
• Good communication skills in written, verbal and nonverbal forms, plus listening.
• Strong organizational, interpersonal and creative problem‑solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate events in-store, including kids birthdays and classes.
• Engage guests of all ages with a fun, creative environment.
• Demonstrate and assist with craft projects and activities.
• Handle checkouts and store operations to support brand promises.
• Communicate event details to clients and store team; handle emails/phones.
