Job summary

City of Wilmington, NC is seeking a Part-Time Facilities Specialist to work weekends. The role focuses on outdoor landscape maintenance, custodial tasks in parks, and trash removal to keep facilities welcoming for residents and visitors.

You will operate various hand and power tools, support special events, and assist with natural disaster cleanup. Required qualifications include the ability to read and follow simple instructions, a Class C Driver’s License, and basic computer literacy.

Qualifications

• Notes: Driving and criminal history checks required for the selected candidate. Selected candidate will also be required to complete a post-offer drug screen, driving and background check

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance by picking up trash, cleaning bathrooms and shelters, removing trash cans, watering, and fertilizing.
• Provide customer service to the public by working with citizens to meet their needs.
• Assist with special projects by setting up for events, and assisting with natural disaster clean up.
