Job summary

North Freeze Dry, LLC is seeking a Packaging Material Handler to support the packaging area in Little Falls, MN. The role involves moving product to the line with a forklift, loading hoppers, and using the ERP system to manage inventory and lot traceability.

The worker will maintain sanitation and safety standards in a food manufacturing setting. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, forklift experience, and the ability to lift 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Self-motivated with ability to take constructive feedback.
• 6+ months of manufacturing/production experience preferred.
• Ability to follow food safety, quality and workspace safety procedures.
• Ability to read and follow oral and written instructions.
• Ability to work in a team and maintain relationships.
• Lift at least 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• Forklift experience (6+ months) with willingness to obtain training.
• Team oriented and mechanically inclined, adaptable to change.

Responsibilities

• Produce the required quantity of batched recipes per production plan.
• Maintain logs of units produced and record errors.
• Perform pre-operational equipment tasks and inspections.
• Conduct quality and sanitation tasks per program and schedule.
• Report maintenance and quality opportunities to supervisors.
• Interface with ERP for inventory control and lot traceability.
• Keep a clean, safe, and orderly work area.
• Move products and packaging materials to the packaging line.
• Load/unload hopper feeding the packaging line.
• Use ERP for in-process materials and finished goods custody.
• Label finished pallets and support in material handling as needed.
• Follow all quality, sanitation, and safety guidelines.
