Job summary

Leisure Manor Senior Living is seeking a dependable Night Porter to join our team for a part-time weekend overnight shift (Saturday and Sunday, 1:00 AM–9:00 AM). The Night Porter will monitor the property, maintain security, and assist residents as needed, working independently to keep the community clean and welcoming.

Working closely with the on-site team and Community Administrator, the ideal candidate is reliable, observant and capable of handling emergencies.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• One year of experience in a janitorial or housekeeping position.
• Experience with Seniors preferred.

Responsibilities

• Responds to emergency calls via pull cord or pendant system.
• Main point of contact for after-hours phone calls.
• Ensures building grounds and entrances are clean and maintained.
• Cleans and dusts common areas including kitchen, dining room, bathrooms, exercise rooms, library and game room.
• Takes out trash and recyclables to bins or dumpsters.
• Ensures building security by performing periodic walk-throughs and checks of entry ways.
• Reports and logs shift activities and issues.
