Leisure Manor Senior Living in Sacramento is seeking a dependable Night Porter for weekend evenings 5:00 PM - 1:00 AM. This part-time role focuses on safety, cleanliness, and resident comfort, with overnight responsibilities coordinated with on-site staff.

You will monitor the building, respond to emergencies, and maintain common areas. The position requires a High School diploma or GED and at least one year in janitorial or housekeeping, with seniors experience preferred.

Qualifications

• One year of experience in janitorial or housekeeping.
• Experience with seniors preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Responds to emergency calls from pull cord or pendant system as assigned.
• Main point of contact for all after-hours calls.
• Keeps building grounds, sidewalks, entrances and outdoor areas clean and maintained.
• Cleans and maintains common areas (kitchen, dining, bathrooms, exercise, library, game room).
• Takes trash/recycling to appropriate bins or dumpsters.
• Ensures building security via regular walk-throughs and secure entryways.
• Reports and logs shift communications and issues.

Leisure Manor Senior Living is seeking a dependable and attentive Night Porter to join our team!

This is a part-time opportunity for every Saturday and Sunday, 5:00 PM - 1:00 AM.

Job Summary:

Working closely with the Community Administrator and on-site team, the Night Porter helps maintain a clean, secure, and well-kept community in accordance with Ray Stone Inc. standards. This role is responsible for monitoring the property during overnight hours, ensuring building security, and serving as the primary point of contact in emergency situations.

The ideal candidate is reliable, observant, and committed to creating a safe and comfortable environment for our residents, guests, and staff.

Job Duties:

• Responds to emergency calls, either from pull cord system or through pendant system depending on assigned community.
• Main point of contact for all after hours phone calls.
• Ensures that the building ground are clean and well maintained. Responsible for cleaning and upkeep of sidewalk areas, outside entrances and patio furniture.
• Responsible for the dusting, vacuuming and general cleanliness of common areas in the community; including the kitchen, dining room, bathrooms, exercise rooms, library, and game room.
• Takes all trash and recycle to the appropriate bins or dumpsters.
• Ensures the security of the building by performing periodic walk-throughs, checking that all entry ways are secure.
• Reports in and reads the logbook each shift to ensure accurate communication and documentation of any issues.

Requirements

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, stand; and use hands to handle/lift objects. The employee occasionally must be able to lift to fifty (50) pounds. Additionally, the employee, on occasion, must crouch, kneel, or climb stairs. Most work is performed in an office environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards. This position requires substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands and/or fingers. Must have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading. Must have the ability to walk short distances.
