Job summary

Salt Lake Behavioral Health (a Universal Health Services facility) seeks an Outpatient Therapist for our Intensive Outpatient Program. This per diem role covers Saturday and Sunday shifts (8:30am - 2:00pm) and involves delivering short- and long-term therapy, crisis intervention, and coordination of care.

You will manage a caseload, provide individual and group therapy in a psychiatric setting, and work with a multidisciplinary team to support patients’ emotional health and recovery goals.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Social Work or a clinical related mental health field is required.
• Minimum 2 years experience in a psychiatric health care facility; experience with family and group therapies, crisis intervention, and treatment skills preferred.
• Must hold Utah licensure as CSW, LCSW, ACMHC, CMHC, AMFT, or LMFT.
• CPR certification is required. Training for restraints and seclusions must be completed within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide social services to meet biopsychosocial needs and deliver therapeutic treatment skills.
• Manage a caseload and provide mental health/chemical dependency treatment in group settings.
• Complete individualized treatment plans and coordinate continuing care or discharge planning.
• Collaborate with treatment teams and multi-disciplinary staff to ensure integrated care.
