Job summary

Sycamore Springs Behavioral Health, part of Lifepoint Health, seeks an Intensive Outpatient Program Therapist (IOP) for a full-time day shift. You will conduct individual and group therapy, participate in treatment planning, and support discharge and after-care planning to help patients manage psychological and substance use challenges.

Ideal candidates hold a master’s degree in social work or counseling, possess an active clinical license, and are CPR/CPI certified within 30 days.

Qualifications

• Prior experience with psychiatric and chemical dependency patients.
• Current unencumbered clinical license per state of practice guidelines.
• CPR and CPI certified within 30 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Conducts individual and group therapy sessions to educate patients regarding psychological, emotional, or substance abuse problems.
• Displays active involvement in treatment planning process.
• Displays active involvement in discharge, transition, and after-care planning treatment process.
• Family session counseling provided as therapeutically necessary to involve family members and support groups.
• Communicates with clients, families, and outside referral sources within HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2.
