Qualifications

• Must have completed a nationally accredited surgical technology program.
• CST credential or eligible for credentialing.
• NYS LPN license acceptable.
• Military training in surgical technology accepted.
• 1–2 years OR experience preferred.
• Able to meet hearing, vision and dexterity requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide first scrub at the surgical table for select procedures.
• Create and maintain sterile field.
• Prepare operating rooms.
• Monitor technique and function; scrub/gown; maintain sterile field.
• Inspect sterile items for contamination and maintain sterility.
• Perform accurate instrument, sponge and needle counts.
• Position and transport patients.
