Qualifications

• Completed a nationally accredited educational program for surgical technologists.
• Certified Surgical Technologist credential from a recognized credentialing organization.

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance as first scrub at the surgical table for select procedures.
• Create and maintain sterile field.
• Prepare operating rooms for procedures.
• Monitor technique breaks and maintain sterile field throughout, including scrub/gown techniques.
• Inspect sterile items for contamination and maintain sterility of instruments and supplies.
• Perform and document instrument, sponge and needle counts per policy.
• Position and transport patients as needed.
