Job summary
The Rector & Visitors of the University of Virginia’s UVA Health is seeking an experienced Weekend Program OR RN to join the Main Operating Room. This role offers premium pay, a consistent weekend schedule, and collaboration with renowned surgeons and interdisciplinary teams.
You will provide perioperative nursing care, scrub and circulate, and participate in a twelve-month weekend commitment. The program features a Friday-Saturday-Monday schedule, a weekend premium of $10/hour, and travel
Qualifications
- Current RN licensure required.
- Minimum of 2 years of Operating Room nursing experience.
- Experience in both scrub and circulating roles.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Gynecology, Urology, Orthopedics, General Surgery, Plastic Surgery, ENT, or Neurosurgery.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and critical thinking skills.
- Commitment to delivering exceptional patient care.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive perioperative nursing care for surgical patients.
- Scrub and circulate surgical procedures.
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, surgical technologists, and interdisciplinary teams.
- Promote patient safety and evidence-based nursing practice.
- Maintain excellence in clinical documentation and patient advocacy.
- Participate in continuous learning and professional development.
