Job summary

University of Chicago Medicine is seeking an Operating Room Nurse for the Weekend Program in the CCD Operating Room in Chicago. This 100% onsite role requires the candidate to be based in the greater Chicagoland area and offers exposure to leading physicians and academic research while delivering high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Nursing; BSN degree or higher preferred.
• Graduate of an approved school of nursing.

Responsibilities

• Performs comprehensive patient/family care utilizing assessment skills.
• Administers medications and treatments as ordered.
• Documents patient care in records and adheres to policies.
• Collaborates with health team and participates in unit staff meetings.
• Assists in discharge planning and patient education.
• Acts as charge nurse as assigned.
