Job summary

UChicago Medicine in the greater Chicagoland area is seeking an Operating Room Nurse to join our Cardiac Team in the CCD-OR, onsite in Hyde Park. You will deliver goal-directed nursing care for diverse patient populations before, during, and after cardiac procedures.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Nursing; BSN degree or higher preferred.
• Current RN Illinois license.
• Graduate of an approved school of nursing.

Responsibilities

• Provide goal-directed nursing care for patients from neonate to geriatric population.
• Educate patients and families to support recovery and learning.
• Document care in patient records and discharge planning.
• Maintain CPR certification and administer medications per physician orders.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to ensure holistic care.
