Job summary

LAUKOA is seeking licensed optometrists to support the Florida Army National Guard's Medical Readiness Services. These part-time, weekend-focused roles may include occasional weekday coverage.

Work is conducted to maintain deployable medical readiness for soldiers and their families. Duties include completing eyewear prescriptions, documenting findings on military forms, protecting patient privacy, and ensuring HIPAA compliance.

Qualifications

• Must hold an active Florida Optometrist license without restrictions.
• Valid US driver's license.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt quickly.
• Ability to work for lengthy periods and perform accurately with adequate speed.
• Must submit no less than two professional references with a resume.

Responsibilities

• Complete eyewear prescriptions for Soldiers with vision loss.
• Document findings on Military approved forms.
• Safeguard all patient information.
• Ensures all actions are in compliance with HIPAA and other applicable federal and state laws and regulations.
