Job summary

CoxHealth South in Springfield, MO is seeking an Emergency Department nurse to provide professional nursing care during acute illness or trauma for patients of all ages. The ED nurse triages, prioritizes care, stabilizes patients, initiates treatment and coordinates discharge or transfer.

Education: RN from an accredited program; MO RN license required. BLS due within 90 days; ACLS, PALS, ENPC, TNCC within stated timelines. Excellent benefits including sign-on bonus and PTO are offered.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program or NLN approved program.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred.
• MO RN license active in Missouri.

Responsibilities

• Triage and prioritize care based on patient needs.
• Stabilize patients and initiate treatment.
• Discharge the patient or arrange longer hospital stay.
• Provide care for patients of all ages in acute illness or trauma.
