Assisting Hands of Hamilton is seeking a compassionate Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) to join our care team on a weekend-only schedule in Hamilton, NJ. Join a dedicated in-home care team that values compassionate, patient-centered service and offers ongoing training and support.

The role involves personal care, mobility assistance, health monitoring, meal support, light housekeeping, companionship, and medication administration within scope.

Qualifications

• Valid New Jersey CHHA certification is required.
• Weekend availability is required.
• Prior home care or related healthcare experience is preferred.
• Reliable transportation to client homes in Hamilton, NJ.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-centered approach.
• Ability to follow individualized care plans and work independently.
• CPR/First Aid certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care (bathing, grooming, hygiene) to clients.
• Assist with mobility, transfers, and ambulation.
• Monitor and document health status; report changes to supervising nurse.
• Prepare meals and assist with feeding per care plans.
• Perform light housekeeping to maintain a safe home.
• Offer companionship and emotional support to clients.
• Administer medications or treatments as directed within scope of practice.
