Job summary

Assisting Hands of Hamilton is seeking a compassionate Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) to join our care team on a weekend-only schedule in Hamilton, New Jersey. You will provide in-home care for clients, helping with personal care, mobility, meals, and companionship.

The ideal candidate holds a valid New Jersey CHHA certification, has experience in home care, and can travel to client homes. A patient-centered approach and strong communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Valid New Jersey CHHA certification must be held.
• Weekend availability (Saturday and/or Sunday).
• Reliable transportation to Hamilton, NJ client homes.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-centered approach.
• Ability to follow individualized care plans and work independently.
• CPR/First Aid certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care assistance including bathing, grooming, dressing, and hygiene support.
• Assist clients with mobility, transfers, and ambulation as needed.
• Monitor and document client health status, reporting changes to the supervising nurse.
• Prepare meals and assist with feeding in accordance with dietary needs and care plans.
• Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a safe home environment.
• Offer companionship and emotional support to promote client well-being.
• Administer medications or treatments as directed within scope of practice.
