Job summary

MercyOne North Iowa Cancer Center in Mason City, IA is seeking an Outpatient Specialty Registered Nurse to deliver oncology and hematology care. You will use the nursing process to assess patients, educate families, and coordinate treatment plans in a fast-paced cancer center.

This weekend-only full-time position requires Iowa RN license, ADN, and completion of ONS courses within 9 months. Chemotherapy certificate renewal every 2 years is expected.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in the state of Iowa.
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required.
• Must complete Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) courses within 9 months of employment.
• Chemotherapy/Immunotherapy Certificate course, renewed every 2 years.

Responsibilities

• Deliver oncology/hematology nursing care using the nursing process.
• Direct and guide patient and family education on treatment plans.
• Coordinate infusion services and cancer care across teams.
• Maintain professional nursing standards and practice per policy.
