Job summary

MercyOne North Iowa Cancer Center in Mason City, IA seeks a part-time IV Registered Nurse to join the outpatient infusion unit. You will administer chemotherapy and related infusions, document procedures, and educate patients and families as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Requirements include an Iowa RN license and ACLS within 6 months; oncology experience and ONS/OCN credentials are preferred. The role offers a 24-hour workweek, daytime hours, and a focus on high-quality cancer care.

Qualifications

Current Iowa RN license required.
ACLS certification within 6 months of hire.
Chemotherapy administration experience preferred.
Minimum 4 years in oncology inpatient/outpatient care.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

Administers chemotherapy and cardiac/covid infusions in outpatient infusion areas.
Documents all outpatient infusion procedures accurately and timely.
Triages patient calls and assesses level of care, with physician referral when needed.
Collaborates with inter-disciplinary team to improve patient care outcomes.
Maintains HIPAA compliance and professional nursing standards.
