Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED or at least two years of healthcare experience.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English.
• Commitment to compassionate care and resident rights.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook a wide variety of foods for residents, employees and visitors.
• Prepare food according to recipes and schedules; assist with cleaning duties as assigned.
• Direct other food service staff in the absence of the Manager.
• Handle and prepare food in accordance with sanitary regulations.
• Prepare meals prescribed by the attending physician.
• Meet required meal schedules; take steps to avoid food waste.
• Maintain dietary equipment and production sheets.
• Follow menus and special diet instructions.
• Communicate with the Food Service Director; cooperate with staff.
• Ensure high quality of service in a compassionate atmosphere; report injuries.
• Complete training and participate in drills; assist with evacuations in emergencies.
• Maintain confidentiality of Protected Health Information; report breaches.
• Perform other duties as requested.
