Qualifications

• MD or DO; licensed or eligible to obtain license in Virginia.
• Completion of Cardiothoracic Surgery residency/fellowship.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiothoracic Surgery.
• Training and familiarity with EPIC EMR preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-call, as-needed coverage for cardiac, vascular, and thoracic surgery services in inpatient and ER at VHC.
• Manage a limited number of inpatient cases, focusing on post-operative care and management.
• Perform cardiac and thoracic surgeries as needed, with emphasis on urgent or emergent procedures.
• Maintain high standard of care and quality in patient interactions and procedures.
• Collaborate with mid-level providers for patient care support.
