Job summary

LocumTenens.com is seeking a board-certified Cardiothoracic Surgeon for an inpatient assignment in Virginia. Dates needed: January 2027 – Ongoing, with a 24-hour shift and on-site duties.

Schedule includes Monday–Friday rounds, typically 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with call responsibilities during weeknights and weekends. The ideal candidate will provide continuous coverage, manage 7–10 patients per day, and be available for emergent cardiothoracic cases during designated call periods.

Qualifications

• Board-certified cardiothoracic surgeon required.
• Inpatient assignment with 24-hour call.
• MD or DO degree with CT surgery board certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient CT surgery coverage Monday–Friday 7:00 AM–4:30 PM with 7–10 daily rounds.
• Respond to CT surgical cases during weeknights 5:00 PM–7:00 AM and 24-hour weekend call.
