Mickman Brothers, Inc. in Ham Lake, MN is seeking a part-time Nursery Laborer for weekend shifts to support our seasonal operations.

The role includes loading, delivering, and maintaining nursery merchandise, with emphasis on bulk loads and equipment like loaders, bobcats, and forklifts. Candidates should have experience handling bulk loads, be able to operate landscape machinery, and complete safety training.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old to work in the field.
• Must be at least 21 years of age to be a DOT certified driver for specific vehicles or equipment.
• Ability to complete required safety courses upon hire.
• Ability to complete Davey Career Development Program (CDP) books.
• Valid driver’s license may be required for some positions.
• DOT medical card, or ability to obtain one to be a Davey Qualified Driver for some positions.

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, and properly use landscape equipment.
• Plant, spray, weed, fertilize, and water plants, shrubs, and trees.
• Deliver trees, shrubs, plants, flowers, and bulk materials to customers.
• Clean work areas and maintain grounds.
• Perform proper pruning and prepare trees for pickup.
• Maintain and repair irrigation and climate control systems.
• Harvest, transplant, pot, and label plants.
• Apply chemical solutions to protect plants and enhance growth.
