Job summary

DJ's Landscape Management in Hastings, MN is seeking an Equipment Operator for Spring, Summer, and Fall. This full-time seasonal role involves operating skid steers, loaders, excavators, tractors, and more, with duties spanning soil placement, bulk material handling, and site prep.

You will perform daily equipment inspections, basic maintenance, and work safely outdoors in Minnesota’s varying weather. CDL A is preferred for certain assignments; valid license and reliable transportation are

Qualifications

• Requires previous professional equipment operating experience.
• Has 2+ years of experience operating heavy equipment in landscaping, construction, excavation, agriculture, snow removal, or related industries.
• Able to operate equipment safely and efficiently without constant supervision.

Responsibilities

• Operate skid steers, loaders, excavators, tractors, and other landscape equipment.
• Load, haul, and place soil, mulch, gravel, rock, and other bulk materials.
• Support landscape construction and maintenance crews with equipment and material handling.
• Perform grading, excavation, site preparation, backfilling, and cleanup.
• Operate hydroseeders and other specialized landscape equipment.
• Conduct daily equipment inspections and identify mechanical or safety concerns.
• Perform basic equipment maintenance and keep machines clean, fueled, and job-ready.
