Job summary

North End Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center is seeking a Weekend Nurse Supervisor to lead nursing staff and coordinate resident care during weekend shifts. The role emphasizes clinical oversight, collaboration with interdisciplinary teams, and maintaining high standards of patient safety and regulatory compliance.

The position supports 7am-7pm or 7am-3pm weekend schedules, with a pay range of $38-$60 per hour and daily pay options.

Qualifications

• Current, unencumbered RN or LPN license in Massachusetts.
• Valid BLS CPR certification.
• Minimum five years of nursing experience in a hospital, nursing home, or other healthcare setting.
• 1–2 years of supervisory experience.
• Strong knowledge of nursing practices, regulations, and guidelines for nursing care centers.
• Effective communication and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical leadership and supervision to nursing staff to ensure high-quality resident care.
• Oversee daily nursing operations to promote safe, effective, and person-centered care delivery.
• Monitor staff performance and provide guidance, coaching, and support as needed.
• Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and facility policies governing nursing care.
• Coordinate resident care plans and ensure timely communication across interdisciplinary teams.
• Support accurate and timely documentation in accordance with clinical standards and regulatory requirements.
• Respond to clinical concerns and assist in resolving issues involving residents, families, and staff.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and support facility-wide clinical goals.

Qualifications for Nurse Supervisor:

• Must possess a current, unencumbered, active RN or LPN license in the state of Massachusetts.
• Valid BLS Certification (CPR) required.
• Minimum of five (5) years of nursing experience in a hospital, nursing home, or other healthcare setting, with at least one (1) to two (2) years in a supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of nursing practices, procedures, and applicable laws, regulations, and guidelines for nursing care centers.
• Effective communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with residents, families, staff, and external agencies.
• Demonstrated leadership and supervisory skills with the ability to guide, support, and collaborate with team members.
• Ability to work collaboratively while maintaining accountability and high standards of care.
