Regency at Troy is seeking an RN Charge Nurse to oversee and coordinate resident care on weekend shifts under the supervision of the Director of Nursing. The role provides clinical leadership to staff and serves as a key resource for residents, families, and team members in Michigan.

Qualifications

• Current state license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• Current CPR certification or CPR certification within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Supervises LPNs, CNAs/STNAs and plans, assigns, and directs work in alignment with resident needs and staff capabilities.
• Prepares work assignments, adjusting for staffing levels and resident safety.
• Receives staffing-related calls and arranges replacements as needed.
• Transfers employees among units per staffing demands.
• Completes performance evaluations and provides input on hiring, disciplining, or terminating staff.
• Oversee unit operations during absence of higher-level management.
• Use independent judgment in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.

The RN Charge Nurse is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the delivery of resident care during assigned shifts in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations and facility policy under the direction and supervision of the Director of Nursing/designee. This role provides clinical supervision to nursing staff, ensures continuity of care, and serves as a key resource for residents, families, and staff.

Education and/or experience

• Preferred: Minimum of two years’ experience in a long-term care setting

• Current state license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN)
• Current CPR certification or CPR certification within 90 days of employment.
