Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program and licensed RN/LPN.
• Minimum one-year experience in long term care – supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise resident care plan implementation.
• Coordinate and supervise services on assigned units for a homelike atmosphere.
• Regular rounding on nursing units.
• Ensure residents are treated with dignity and respect.
• Ensure staff follow facility policies and procedures.
• Provide education and support to nurses, assist in assessment and care planning.
• Monitor incidents and complaints, report and document appropriately.
• Facilitate communication between nurses and providers/owners.
• Maintain complete documentation and respond to emergencies.
• Discuss staffing issues and ensure adequate staffing for the nursing department.
• Supervise equipment use and recommend supplies to DON.
• Assist in direct resident care when needed.
• Prepare and administer performance reviews with unit managers.
