Job summary

Bethesda Health in Missouri seeks an experienced LPN supervisor to delegate staff according to policy and supervise resident care in a long-term care setting. You will complete rounds, ensure care plan adherence, and report concerns to the Director of Nursing.

The role emphasizes accountability, teamwork, and promoting autonomy while maintaining nursing standards and safety. Eligible candidates hold an LPN license and have long-term care experience.

Qualifications

• Current LPN license in the state you will be working.
• Two years long-term care supervisory experience preferred.
• Three to five years long-term care experience or similar nursing experience.
• Excellent communication skills to interact verbally with patients, visitors and staff.
• Ability to manage time and organize daily schedule to meet productivity standards.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time.
• Ability to lift heavy objects using proper lifting techniques and with assistance as necessary.
• Ability to transfer and move residents who vary with ability to assist weighing 200+lbs using proper lifting techniques and with assistance as necessary.
• Ability to push and pull equipment weighing in excess of 40lbs using proper techniques and with assistance as necessary.
• Manual dexterity, coordination and skillful use of hands when working with residents and equipment.
• Ability to perform necessary documentation.
• Visual acuity.
• Must be able to manage a diversity of activities.

Responsibilities

• Assigns staff according to policies and works to ensure equal distribution of assigned duties.
• Supports teamwork and promotes resident care timely and properly.
• Completes rounds to assess residents and care plans.
• Reports concerns and needs to appropriate staff members in a professional manner.
• Communicates with Director of Nursing about events requiring administrative attention.
• Directs and manages direct patient care using sound nursing judgment.
• Documents and communicates plans appropriately and professionally.
• Develops measurable staff goals and encourages professionalism.
• Serves as a resource for other nursing personnel.
