Job summary

Bayview Rehabilitation at Scalabrini is seeking a Weekend Nurse Supervisor to lead nursing staff and ensure high-quality resident care on Saturdays and Sundays, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM.

The role requires an active Rhode Island RN or LPN license, BLS CPR, and at least five years of nursing experience with supervisory exposure. You will oversee operations, coordinate care plans, and ensure regulatory compliance while supporting a collaborative, compassionate team.

Qualifications

• Current, unencumbered RN or LPN license in Rhode Island.
• BLS Certification (CPR) required.
• Minimum of five (5) years of nursing experience in a hospital, nursing home, or other healthcare setting, with 1–2 years in a supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of nursing practices, procedures, and applicable laws and regulations for nursing care centers.
• Effective communication with residents, families, staff, and external agencies.
• Demonstrated leadership and supervisory skills with the ability to guide, support, and collaborate with team members.
• Ability to work collaboratively while maintaining accountability and high standards of care.

Responsibilities

• Monitor staff performance and provide guidance, coaching, and support as needed.

• Support accurate and timely documentation in accordance with clinical standards and regulatory requirements.
• Respond to clinical concerns and assist in resolving issues involving residents, families, and staff.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and support facility-wide clinical goals.

Qualifications for Weekend Nurse Supervisor:

• Must possess a current, unencumbered, active RN or LPN license in the state of Rhode Island.

• Valid BLS Certification (CPR) required.

• Minimum of five (5) years of nursing experience in a hospital, nursing home, or other healthcare setting, with at least one (1) to two (2) years in a supervisory role.

• Strong knowledge of nursing practices, procedures, and applicable laws, regulations, and guidelines for nursing care centers.

• Effective communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with residents, families, staff, and external agencies.

• Demonstrated leadership and supervisory skills with the ability to guide, support, and collaborate with team members.

• Ability to work collaboratively while maintaining accountability and high standards of care.
