Job summary

Riverview Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Rhode Island is seeking a Weekend RN Supervisor to lead nursing staff on Saturdays and Sundays from 11 am to 11 pm. This part-time role focuses on clinical leadership, regulatory compliance, and safe resident care.

The RN Supervisor will oversee daily nursing operations, monitor resident conditions, coordinate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams, and ensure high-quality outcomes while supporting a positive, team-oriented workplace.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current, unencumbered active RN license in Rhode Island.
• Valid BLS Certification (CPR) required.
• Ability to manage care for multiple patients in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
• Minimum of 2+ years of nursing experience in a healthcare setting.
• No previous supervisory experience required; training will be provided.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with residents, families, staff, and regulatory agencies.
• Strong knowledge of nursing practices, regulations, and standards in nursing care centers.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate nursing care activities to ensure residents receive safe, effective, and timely care.
• Provide clinical oversight and support to nursing staff during assigned shifts.
• Monitor resident conditions and ensure appropriate interventions are implemented and documented.
• Ensure compliance with physician orders, care plans, and facility policies and procedures.
• Communicate effectively with physicians, interdisciplinary teams, residents, and family members regarding changes in condition or care needs.
• Assist in managing multiple residents and prioritize care based on clinical urgency.
• Support adherence to all applicable nursing regulations, safety standards, and facility guidelines.
• Promote a positive work environment through teamwork, communication, and professional leadership.
