Avir at Beaumont seeks a Nurse Practitioner (Skilled Nursing) to provide internal medicine services at a SNF on Saturdays and Sundays. You will collaborate with physicians and an interdisciplinary team to minimize weekend hospitalizations and ensure high-quality patient care across the resident population.

The role requires an active Texas APRN license, DEA number, and a Master’s degree, with strong communication and leadership skills to thrive in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• APRN with Texas license
• Active license and DEA number required
• Experience in nursing or medical fields preferred
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proven leadership and teamwork in healthcare settings
• Master’s degree required

Responsibilities

• Provide internal medicine services at a Skilled Nursing Facility on Saturdays and Sundays
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team and physicians to reduce weekend hospitalizations
• Evaluate new admissions and coordinate discharge visits
• Perform comprehensive physical examinations and manage acute/chronic illnesses
• Prescribe medications and treatments under facility protocols
• Develop patient management policies and procedures
• Facilitate referrals and communicate with attending physicians
