Job summary

Los Angeles Skills Academy is seeking a Permanent Weekend Instructor (LVN or RN) to teach in their Nurse Assistant Training program in Santa Fe Springs, CA. This role focuses on planning, teaching, and evaluating students in both classroom and clinical settings, guiding them toward successful completion of the program.

The instructor will ensure compliance with California state regulations and participate in a strong, accredited training environment that blends traditional and online learning.

Qualifications

• Current license RN or LVN in California.
• Two years’ experience as a nurse with at least one year’s experience in long term care or with elderly/chronically ill.
• Adult education experience preferred or DSD Certificate (can be obtained online as a 24 hour class).
• Must meet state minimum nursing and teaching experience requirements for instructors

Responsibilities

• Plan, teach and evaluate course participants in the NAT program, including classroom and clinical skills.
• Ensure the program meets state regulations and compliance standards.
• Deliver a high-quality CNA instructor program that prepares students for the state test.
