Job summary

Frey Consulting Group is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for a weekend clinical research role in Chandler, AZ. You will work three 12-hour shifts (Friday–Sunday) in a Phase 1 GI/hepatology setting, with four days off each week, and report to the VP of Research.

You will manage standard care and research patients, perform safety assessments, and ensure protocol compliance while collaborating with physicians and research staff.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
• Current NP/PA certification or eligibility.
• AZ license active or eligible.
• 1+ year NP/PA practice experience in clinic or hospital setting.
• Previous clinical research experience with understanding of protocols.
• Ability to work Friday–Sunday 12-hour shifts.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient evaluations and pretreatment reviews for standard care and clinical research patients.
• Serve as Sub-Investigator and support Phase 1 research protocols.
• Oversee patient care aspects and conduct medical/safety reviews.
• Diagnose conditions and make treatment decisions within scope.
• Educate patients on therapeutic options in hepatology GI trials.
• Ensure accurate source documentation and informed consent records.
• Collaborate with researchers to complete study visits and documentation.
