Job summary

Olin's Lake City Army Ammunition Plant in Independence, MO seeks a Water Treatment Operator to run start-up, operation and shutdown of treatment facilities, including the Water Plant, while ensuring regulatory compliance.

You will draw samples, perform analyses, monitor equipment, maintain chemicals, transport wastewater, and perform millwright and pipefitting tasks, with weekend night shifts and overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year recent and relevant water treatment operations, plumbing and/or pipefitting experience OR relevant trade-school certificate.
• Drinking Water Certification preferred.
• Knowledge of motors and motor controllers; mechanical repair skills.

Responsibilities

• Start-up, operation and shutdown of at least two treatment facilities including the Water Plant.
• Draw samples, perform analyses, maintain chemical supplies and operate equipment.
• Transport industrial and hazardous wastewater to proper facility; perform millwright and pipefitting duties.
• Maintain safety procedures and operate with environmental compliance.
