Job summary

Indiana University Health Bedford Hospital is seeking a part-time Registered Respiratory Therapist to join our patient-focused team. You will work weekends on the night shift, performing assessments, treatments, and patient care for individuals with cardiopulmonary disorders.

The role requires Indiana licensure as a Respiratory Care Practitioner, graduation from a CoARC-accredited program, NBRC registry timing, and relevant certifications; a sign-on bonus of $30,000 is available for eligible

Qualifications

• Requires Indiana license as Respiratory Care Practitioner.
• Graduation from a CoARC-accredited respiratory care program.
• NBRC registry exam must be passed within 6 months of hire date.
• Healthcare provider certification and related life-support credentials may be required.
• ACLS; PALS; NRP certifications preferred; strong customer service skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication; ability to handle confidential information.
• Basic computer skills and experience with EMR.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients with cardiopulmonary disorders and varying modalities.
• Collaborate with nurses, Advanced Respiratory Therapists, and Clinical Specialists to ensure patient care quality.
• Provide personalized therapies and contribute to ongoing professional development.
• Operate and document care activities using the EMR and hospital protocols.
