Job summary

PPG is seeking a Quality Control Technician for the 3rd shift at our Cleveland, OH Liquid Production Plant. You will receive samples, perform testing per customer specifications, and document results to approve or reject product.

This role reports to a Quality Supervisor and is on-site full-time. The position runs four 10-hour night shifts (Fri–Mon, 7:00 PM–5:30 AM) with additional shift differential and benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401k, PTO, and bonus eligibility.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required, Chemistry courses are helpful.
• 1+ year of experience.
• Data entry, basic math and reading, and basic computer skills required (Word, Excel, etc); experience with Oracle a plus.
• Experience with ISO 9001 is helpful.
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs, sit, stand, bend, twist, kneel.

Responsibilities

• Perform various scientific testing to evaluate the quality of in-process materials and finished goods.
• Compile, interpret, and document data from the testing process to confirm compliance with established quality standards.
• Keep basic laboratory housekeeping.
• May be responsible for establishing specifications and writing standard operating procedures.
