Job summary

PPG Industries, Inc seeks a Quality Control Technician - 3rd Shift at the Cleveland, OH Liquid Production Plant. You will receive production samples, perform testing per customer specs, document data, and approve or reject products based on results.

This is a weekday night shift, four 10-hour shifts 7PM–5:30AM, Monday–Friday, with one weeknight off. You will report to a Quality Supervisor and may help establish specifications and write SOPs.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required; chemistry courses helpful.
• 1+ year of experience required.
• Data entry, basic math and reading, and basic computer skills (Word, Excel) required; Oracle a plus.
• Experience with ISO 9001 is helpful.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs; sit, stand, bend, twist, kneel.

Responsibilities

• Perform various scientific testing to evaluate the quality of in-process materials and finished goods.
• Compile, interpret, and document data from the testing process to confirm compliance with established quality standards.
• Keep basic laboratory housekeeping.
• May be responsible for establishing specifications and writing standard operating procedures.
