Job summary

Utz Quality Foods in Hanover, PA is seeking a Relief Fryer/Peeler Operator on the Weekend Night Shift (Fri–Sun, 5:25 PM–5:55 AM). You will remove waste from conveyor peeled-potato line, trim oversized potatoes, and support production with safe, high-quality input.

Responsibilities include inspecting potatoes, operating fryer in relief, performing sanitation, blade changes, and cross-functional teamwork to meet production goals while upholding food safety standards and company culture.

Responsibilities

• Inspect peeled potatoes and trim defects to control quality of raw potato input to fryer.
• Operate fryer in relief of regular operator, including start-up and shut down.
• Carry out daily and weekly sanitation procedures for either peeler or frying area.
• Change and set blades.
• Prepare peeler/slicer or frying system for production start-up.
• Operate peeler/slicer system to maintain a sufficient supply of peeled and sliced potatoes for fryer.
• Report quality or mechanical problems to the supervisor.
• Work in a cross-functional team and maintain safety at all times.
• Contribute to food safety tasks and help with other duties as assigned.
