Responsibilities

• Organizes and directs assigned unit duties to provide quality nursing care to residents.
• Responsible during the shift for the total nursing care of residents in the assigned unit.
• Administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques.
• Transcribes physician's orders and charts progress notes reflecting care and resident response.
• Monitors vital signs and observes resident condition, reporting notable changes to supervisors.
• Responds to emergencies per nursing standards and facility procedures.
• Assists in care plans and participates in care conferences as needed.
• Ensures CNA staff are aligned with the care plan and that documentation is completed daily.
• Coordinates rehabilitation activities with therapists to meet 24-hour needs.
• Performs additional duties as assigned.
