Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a part-time Nurse Aide at 34404 Carolinas Medical Center: Mercy - Nursing. The role supports daily living activities, monitors patient vitals, and assists with patient mobility and hygiene.

You will also perform basic clerical duties and maintain patient records in a fast-paced clinical environment. Scheduled for Saturday and Sunday nights, 7p-7a, with benefits eligibility and a pay range of $19.80–$29.70 per hour.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Current listing with state Nurse Aide Registry as Nurse Aide I or Nurse Aide II as applicable.
• BLS certification required per policy.

Responsibilities

• Assists patients with activities of daily living.
• Assists with personal hygiene and vital signs.
• Takes vital signs and measures height/weight.
• Feeds and ambulates patients according to procedures.
• Maintains patient rooms in clean and orderly condition.
• Observes and reports changes in patient conditions.
• Orients patients and families to unit and safety procedures.
• Performs clerical tasks such as answering phones, data entry, and medical records maintenance.
• Maintains inventory and stock of supplies.
• Performs technical tasks with training such as 12-lead ECG and venipuncture.
