Job summary

Generac is seeking Machine Operator I–III for weekend night shifts (Saturday–Monday, 5:00 PM – 5:00 AM). Positions require basic machinery operation, adherence to quality standards, and safety rules within a fast-paced production environment.

Job roles include learning product assembly, following work instructions, and maintaining cleanliness and equipment readiness. Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, 1 year of relevant experience, and strong communication and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

  • High school Diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • 1 year of experience operating relevant machinery or equivalent
  • Detail oriented and organized.
  • Work in a team environment in a professional manner
  • Effectively communicate
  • Utilize applicable hand tools with precision.

Responsibilities

  • Proficiently operate basic machinery independently at a defined rate with proper quality
  • Develop and maintain an understanding of the products they assemble and how they impact the business.
  • Continuous learning of the principles, practices, and processes of their job as changes require and similar jobs
  • Safely handle materials utilizing proper lifting techniques, including overhead hoists/lift tables.
  • Communicate hazards and/or equipment issues with leadership.
  • Occasionally provide basic training to employees as needed
  • Cross train in different areas within the department and flex to different stations as needed
