Job summary

Generac is seeking an assembler to operate basic machinery and contribute to product assembly with a strong focus on quality and safety. You will learn and adapt to different stations, handle materials using proper lifting techniques, and communicate any hazards to leadership.

Ideal applicants will be detail-oriented, work well in teams, and demonstrate effective communication. Training will be provided to support cross-training across departments as needed.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED; 1 year of experience operating relevant machinery.
  • Detail oriented and organized.
  • Work in a team environment in a professional manner.
  • Ability to communicate effectively.
  • Utilize applicable hand tools with precision.

Responsibilities

  • Proficiently operate basic machinery independently at a defined rate with proper quality.
  • Develop and maintain an understanding of the products they assemble and how they impact the business.
  • Continuous learning of the principles, practices, and processes of their job as changes require and similar jobs.
  • Safely handle materials utilizing proper lifting techniques, including overhead hoists/lift tables.
  • Communicate hazards and/or equipment issues with leadership.
  • Occasionally provide basic training to employees as needed
  • Cross train in different areas within the department and flex to different stations as needed
