Job summary

Newell Brands in Maryville, TN is seeking experienced Machine Operators to run high-speed assembly and printing equipment for Sharpie, Expo, and Paper Mate products. This full-time weekend night shift role is ideal for technicians who can maintain quality and meet production targets.

You will set up, monitor, and adjust machinery, perform changeovers, document results, and participate in continuous improvement while upholding safety standards in a climate-controlled environment.

Qualifications

• 2 to 5 years of hands-on experience operating automated assembly, printing, packaging, or similar high-speed manufacturing equipment.
• Experience with machines that have complex automation, such as PLC-controlled equipment, MES Systems, HMIs, sensors, servos, or vision systems.
• Ability to read and follow work instructions, SOPs, and basic production documentation.
• Basic math and measurement skills, and comfort with gauges, calipers, or other inspection tools.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality and safety.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, monitor and adjust automated assembly equipment to meet targets.
• Run multi-station machines with feeders, servo-driven stations, vision inspection systems and automated packaging.
• Set up and run high-speed printing equipment for decoration of markers and pens.
• Perform changeovers and line setups following SOPs to hit targets.
• Monitor machine performance, respond to alarms and troubleshoot to minimize downtime.
• Perform in-process quality checks and document results per work instructions.
• Keep work area clean and organized following 6S standards.
• Participate in continuous improvement efforts to improve OEE and reduce waste.
