Job summary

Newell Brands in Maryville, TN, is seeking experienced Machine Operators to run high-speed Sharpie assembly and printing lines. You’ll manage automated equipment, perform changeovers, and ensure quality while meeting production targets.

Qualified candidates will operate multi-station systems, monitor HMIs, and perform routine maintenance. This role supports a 12-hour shift with safety and teamwork at its core.

Qualifications

• 2-5 yrs experience operating automated assembly, printing, or similar equipment.
• Experience with PLCs, MES HMIs, sensors, servos, or vision systems is a plus.
• Ability to read and follow work instructions, SOPs, and production docs.
• Basic math and measurement skills using gauges or calipers.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate automated assembly and high-speed printing equipment to meet safety, quality, and output targets.
• Run multi-station machines with feeders, servo-driven stations, vision systems, and automated packaging.
• Perform changeovers and line setups for different products while following SOPs.
• Monitor performance, respond to alarms, and perform first-level troubleshooting to minimize downtime.
• Complete production records and shift handoff notes accurately.
• Follow safety policies, 6S housekeeping, and autonomous/ preventive maintenance.
