Job summary

Lakewood Ranch Medical Center in Bradenton, FL is seeking a Security Guard (Class D License) for the evening shift (3pm-11pm) to maintain a safe hospital environment. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, 1 year of security experience in an acute care setting, and certifications including IAHSS Safety & Security Procedures, BLS and CPI within 90 days of hire.

Job Overview

Performs the duties of Security Officer to maintain the safety and security of the hospital.

General Responsibilities

• Secures the premises from unauthorized entry.
• Provides support and assistance, both physical and psychological, to staff, patients, and visitors.
• Prepares and submits reports in an accurate and timely manner.
• Communication and interpersonal skills, basic computer skills, and customer service skills required.
• Demonstrates Service Excellence at all times.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school education or GED equivalent.
• Must be able to handle stressful situations
• Must have 1 year experience as a security officer or related position in an acute care setting
• Certification for Safety and Security Procedures IAHSS training required within 90 days of hire.
• BLS within 90 days of hire.
• CPI within 90 days of hire.
• Class D Security License required.
